What inspired you to work at Lantz Financial and when did you join the team?
I first got to know Mike when he was my daughter’s basketball coach. As a coach Mike demonstrated integrity, strategic thinking, and poise under pressure. When he approached me about joining his team in January 2019, I was intrigued to hear about his recent transition to going independent, his plans for growth, and the client service model the firm would be embracing. I was excited to see the traits Mike demonstrated as a coach applied to his business, and I knew I wanted to be a part of his team.
What is your background including any unique skills or characteristics that you want to share?
I graduated from the University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, and I have a paralegal certificate. As a litigation paralegal and a contract paralegal it was vital to manage and prioritize multiple assignments and conflicting deadlines while providing a high level of client service. These attributes have helped me transition from the legal world into the financial services industry.
What are one or two things you do for clients on a day to day basis?
My main focus is to handle client servicing issues as they arise. In addition, I have researched the hot topic of cybersecurity. I continue to read and learn about the best ways to keep information secure in this ever-changing digital world. I also spend time working with Mike and Dan on retirement income planning and compliance.
Outside of the office, what would someone find interesting about you?
While traveling with my family, I have gone on some adventurous excursions. I have ziplined, biked down a volcano, and helicoptered over the Grand Canyon.
Is there anything personal you wish to share?
I have been married to my husband, Todd, for 25 years. We have two adult kids. I enjoy traveling, reading, and walking our golden retriever, Lucy.
