Practice Manager

What inspired you to work at Lantz Financial and when did you join the team?

I have been with Lantz Financial for the past six years. Prior to joining the team, I worked with an RIA firm where I spent several years as a portfolio administrator. I gained experience not only servicing clients directly, but also in retirement income and management reporting. When presented with a chance to work at Lantz Financial, I saw the endless career possibilities, and l was excited at the possibility of helping to take the team from Broker Dealer to RIA.

What is your background including any unique skills or characteristics that you want to share?

Since my start here at Lantz Financial, my role has shifted from client associate to practice manager, which is more suited to my strengths and interests. I run the team’s back office functions such as HR, accounting, benefits, and strategic business planning. One of my strengths is the ability to see things from the bigger picture. I find excitement in streamlining processes and facilitating change to help our team move forward.

What are one or two things you do for clients on a day to day basis?

I value the opportunities I have had to get to know some of our clients more closely at client events and office visits. Each client brings their own unique wisdom and life experiences that I find so valuable.

Outside of the office, what would someone find interesting about you?

Outside of the office I am most known as “the mom with five girls”. In my free time, I can most likely be found cheering in the stands at either gymnastics meets or volleyball tournaments, running the prairie, or in the kitchen exploring new recipes. Another interesting fun fact was that I “flew through the air…” as a gymnast in the Gamma Phi Circus at ISU. Teeterboard was my specialty.

Is there anything personal you wish to share?

I attended Illinois State University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics. I am also a proud mom of five daughters. My oldest is a senior at Grand Valley in the nursing program. I have two on athletic scholarships at Texas Woman’s University (gymnastics and volleyball), and I have twins at Neuqua Valley High School.
